The Hallmark Channel telefilm ‘William and Kate: A Royal Love Story’ casting lead roles

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s royal love story will be told in the upcoming Hallmark Channel biopic TV movie “William and Kate: A Royal Love Story”. Auditions are about to begin for actors to portray Prince William of Wales and fiancée Kate Middleton.

2-time Primetime Emmy nominated producers Howard Braunstein and Michael Jaffe will produce. Primetime Emmy winning Linda Yellen wrote the screenplay and will also produce. Yellen was executive producer of “The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana,” which became one of the most popular TV movies of all time.

While biographical in nature, “William and Kate: A Royal Love Story” is also a love story with an inside look at the signification of a modern kingdom. The film will depict the prince and princess-to-be’s life together as young students at St. Andrews, the prince’s military training, their breakup and makeup, engagement, their wedding arrangements, Queen Elizabeth’s admonition, and the Royal Wedding on April 29, 2011.

The search is on to find the perfect actors to play the roles of the future King and Queen of England. Lifetime Network recently completed filming their version of this story titled “Kate and William” starring Camilla Luddington as Kate Middleton, and Nico Evers-Swindell as Prince William.

Principal photography on “William and Kate: A Royal Love Story” is scheduled to begin in May, 2011 for an August 13, 2011 world premier on The Hallmark Channel.
