From the hit ABC show Dancing with the Stars’ Carrie Ann Inaba comes a new dance-themed family drama titled “Grace”. The casting directors are auditioning actors and dancers in Los Angeles and New York for series regular roles.
The show tells the story of Sarah Grace, an attorney who’s father, Michael Grace (Eric Roberts), is a famous choreographer with an equally famous temper. Sarah handles all of her fathers business affairs, although she harbors great resentment towards him for her dysfunctional upbringing. At the same time, her father never forgave her for giving up a career as a dancer to become an attorney.
Academy Award nominated Lesli Linka Glatter will direct the pilot from a script by 3 time Primetime Emmy nominated writer/producer Krista Vernoff. Vernoff served as executive producer and writer on the hit ABC series “Grey’s Anatomy”.
In addition to her film directing accomplishments, Lesli Linka Glatter has directed such hit series as True Blood, NYPD Blue, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Mad Men, House M.D., ER, The West Wing, Grey’s Anatomy, among many more. Prior to her work as a director, Glatter was a modern dance choreographer working throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States.
Shooting on “Grace” begins on March 8, 2011 in Los Angeles.

The dance-themed drama revolves around a dysfunctional family and is set in the world of professional dance. The Grace Family Patriarch, Michael Grace, thinks and communicates in dance. So whether we are inside his imagination or inside his dance studio, dance will serve as both backdrop and subtext – creating conflict, illuminating the characters’ inner lives and communicating that which, for Michael, can’t be said with words.
