ABC Charlies Angels Open Casting Call

“Charlie’s Angels” will air this fall air on Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC
AB Media Publishing, LLC

ABC has given a series order for the modern TV show version of the 1970’s hit series “Charlie’s Angels”. The guest stars for “Charlie’s Angels” are being cast in Los Angeles, and smaller speaking roles, extras, stand-ins, and photo doubles are cast in Miami, Florida.

Note: You do NOT have to be a resident of the Miami area to work on “Charlie’s Angels”, however you do need to be located within reasonable driving distance of Miami during your availability commitment to the casting director. For instance, if you are in South Florida on vacation or visiting anytime for the duration of filming, you can submit the information where you are staying, and days of availability to the casting director. If you fit anything they need while you are available, they may cast you to work on the show. The open casting call and online extras registration details are listed below.

The cast of “Charlie’s Angels” includes former “Friday Night Lights” actress Minka Kelly, “General Hospital” regular Annie Ilonzeh and “Transformers” actress Rachael Taylor as the new beautiful “Angels”. Ramon Rodriguez plays role of Charlie’s detective agency liason Bosley, described as a charming and funny guy who is very tech savvy. Rodriguez starred in the “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” film, and more recently “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”. Robert Wagner plays the voice of Charlie.

Panda Productions in association with Sony Pictures Television is producing “Charlie’s Angels”. Flower Films partners Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen are co-producing, along with Mandy Film’s Leonard Goldberg (executive producer of the original series), and Millar Gough Ink’s Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. Gough and Miller also write the series teleplay.

The pilot episode of “Charlie’s Angels” was set and shot entirely in Miami and obviously made quite an impression on studio execs, as the show is one of 13 new series that ABC has picked up for the Fall 2011 season. “Charlie’s Angels”, which is set to air on Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC, will lead into a pair of the network’s heavyweight series, “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice”. The premier episode will air on September 22, 2011 – on the 35th anniversary of the original Charlie’s Angels series which premiered on ABC on September 22, 1976.

Finally there’s Gloria, a disgraced army lieutenant who has a way with explosives. When one of the angels’ missions ends in Gloria’s tragic death, Charlie persuades them to partner with Gloria’s childhood friend, Eve (Minka Kelly), a street racer with a mysterious past. They may not know each other yet, but one thing’s for sure – Abby, Kate and Eve will always have each others’ backs.
