The casting director of the FOX mega hit musical comedy-drama television series “Glee,” is teaming up with Oxygen Media and Casting Duo to conduct a nationwide talent search reality show titled “The Glee Project,” where performers will compete for a multi-episode guest-starring role on season three of the show “Glee”.

Musical theater experience is a plus, but not required. If chosen to participate, professionals will train the competitors, so raw talent is welcome. If you have the performing fundamentals and a big personality, then you are highly encouraged to apply.

Glee casting director Robert Ulrich is an executive with Ulrich/Dawson/Kritzer Casting. He is married to the beautiful and talented actress Kim Johnston Ulrich, who played Ivy Winthrop on the soap “Passions” for 10 years, among many other roles. They have two children, a son Cooper, and a daughter Tierney. Robert Ulrich and his partners Eric Dawson and Jim Carnahan have been Nominated for 2 Primetime Emmys for casting talent on Glee.

Randy Bernstein and Danielle Harrington founded Casting Duo and have served as the Supervising Casting Directors for such television shows as “Top Chef,” Project Runway,” “Shear Genius,” and “Make Me A Supermodel.” From network to cable to original web content, The Casting Duo is the premier casting team for unscripted competition reality shows in the entertainment industry.

Along with Oxygen Media, they are looking for talented young men and women with strong vocal, acting, dancing abilities and big personalities. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age (but able to convincingly portray the role of a teenager) and be legally eligible to work in the United States. Candidates must also be available to the production in or about January through April 2011 and be willing to travel as part of production.
