Redboard Productions and The Linson Company are in pre-production on the upcoming HBO series pilot “The Money”, and the Primetime Emmy Award nominated casting director has sent out casting calls for series regulars, possible recurring roles, guest stars, and day players. Shooting will get underway in New York City on October 5, 2013. The general extras, featured background actors, stand-ins, and photo-doubles will be cast throughout production.

‘The Money’ is about wealth and corruption among the super elite, and centers on American mogul and patriarch James Castman. With his son John by his side, Castman wields power and influence to expand his media empire. He also uses this power to control his family. Castman is challenged by his corporation’s CEO and CFO for his seemingly reckless bid for the Times of New York newspaper, however his methods are all part of a brilliant, broader scheme. His pursuit of power and influence to expand his media empire and control his family may come with major repercussions.

Starring in “The Money” is three-time Golden Globe Award nominated Irish actor Brendan Gleeson playing the role of James Castman. Gleeson has enjoyed a stellar career, starring in such films as “Braveheart,” “A.I. Artificial Intelligence,” “Troy,” “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” and “Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1”. Gleeson also won a Primetime Emmy Award for his role as Winston Churchill in the HBO Films movie “Into the Storm”. He recently wrapped filming on the feature film “Eliza Graves” starring opposite Kate Beckinsale and Ben Kingsley.

Primetime Emmy Award nominee Justin Chadwick will direct the pilot episode from a teleplay written by four-time Primetime Emmy Award winner David Milch, who will serve as executive producer. Chadwick is also an actor whose credits include the film “The Loss of Sexual Innocence” and the television series “Heartbeat,” “Dangerfield,” “Dalziel and Pascoe”, among others. Art Linson his son John will also executive produce. The two are executive producers of the hit FX series “Sons of Anarchy”. Primetime Emmy Award winner Sarah Caplan will executive produce along with Academy Award winner Eric Roth.
